5 more days and 2019 is going to be over! Does this not look somehow to you? The new year resolution you had in mind, did any of it happened? Did you get yourself a new car? Did you get paid higher than usual? Were you able to woo her? Were you able to go out with friends? Did you even try to avoid watching Porn? Ever made more money?

We’ve all failed in one way or the other and trust me, our new year resolutions are dead goals from the last few years, we are only working earnestly to achieve the baby goals.

2019 has been a year of turn around for me with lots of challenges, professionally and personally. I listed them out here, kinda sucks but it can help you to keep going.

In 2019, …

  • I was BROKE: I wasn’t able to get over this even though I’ve always had a goal not to be ever broke again. However, being broke find its way into my life and I’m always getting rid of it just like the way we deal with Mosquito’s — We’re attracted to them just like the way money and buying stuff is attracted to us.
  • I bought a lot of data subscription: My spendings on internet data increased drastically and I loved it. I was able to use 40GB within 3 days somewhere around November and it wasn’t something I feel should be bothered about because I used it for certain things. My average monthly data plan is 100GB which goes for 19k, I use Spectranet unlimited plan.
  • I bought SNEAKERS: If you know me too well, you’ll find out that the best birthday gift you can ever gift me is Sneakers; size 45 — Oh yeah, I have a very big foot.
  • I became a recognized SEO SPECIALIST for a few companies and my biggest catch was a construction company based in Michigan, Detroit, USA.
  • I met new PEOPLE: Ever heard of the word, OG? Yeah, I have a lot of OG and people I will forever cherish. I owe my success to these people and I am going to list a few of them out here. If your name isn’t here it's just to tell you can do more than just a friend.

Ayanleke Matthew — My Personal Civil Engineer, Solomon Ayoola, Olowomeye Temitope, Olibe Caleb, Ganiu Abiola, Dimeji (Adufe), Eyitajo Jnr, MR Tife, Shayo, Odunayo (Sigar), Isaac Shed and a few others I might add to the list.

  • I met GREAT PEOPLE: These people in my life are working to achieve and realize some of the goals I want for myself. We’ve been there, failed each other a couple of times, but what keeps us ahead is our unrelenting spirit of not giving up. Talk about why I find Branding so important, you should talk to Adetola Adeghoun (DeeDee). Want to build a stunning and good looking website? I can do that for you lol, with WORDPRESS but I can’t brag when I have people who showed me the road map; meet — (Awogor Matthew, Kolade). When it comes to writing — I salute Reuben and Emmanuel Ahse. When it comes to graphic designs, my personal right-handed guy, you see Isaac Somto. Seun of Vigowork.com — Nigeria’s fast-growing freelance platform, my personal Gee — Emmanuel Ekanem.

These people, you can find them easily on Facebook or when you search their names as written here on Google.

  • I JOINED TECH COMMUNITIES: The tech community is something I find interesting as a tech guy. Don’t underestimate the power of networking at events. I am a movement of, Forloop Lagos, ICA Yabatech, Developers Student Club (DSC), DevFest, Facebook Developers Circles Club, Hackclub — Hack Club is a nonprofit network of computer science clubs where members learn to code through tinkering and building projects and a few others.

I can’t mention these communities without mentioning names of people I envy and at the same time, learnt a lot from. Kudos to these guys.

Iyiola Osiagwu, Salami Usman Olawale, Gideon Agbooba, Peculiar (DevC Mama), Afolayan Raphael, Bankole Emmanuel, Shodipo Ayomide, Totoola Kehinde, Ehinze Emeka, Cynthia Peter, Horpey UI, Destiny Ajakaiye, Emmanuella Aishat, Segun Olumide and a few notable others.

  • I MET AMAZING WOMEN: Women are powerful people too and they strive to make excellence. These people have helped me in one way or the other. I can’t go on without mentioning them.

My Mother, Cristianah Acha, Kofo Ayoola, Aishat Oladunjoye, Adeola Mary, Cynthia Peter, Emmanuella and Bimbe (Skincode). You guy’s rock.

  • I WROTE CLEAN CSS: I don’t use bootstrap and I fight with responsivity a lot. However, I still build stunning designs with what I write. I am an adept front-end developer with experience using web technologies and I plan to deal with React and Vue in the new year. You can check me out on dribble and Github.
  • I JOINED PENNEE: Pennee is a new startup company focused on helping us achieve our financial dreams. They are crowdfunding platform. You’d get to know about them pretty soon if you follow me on Twitter.
  • I learnt to play BASKETBALL
  • I learnt to take FINE PICTURES “Omo mehn”: Looking forward to starting a part-time career in modelling but not now. Perhaps, when I have enough Google money. I have turned down a lot of requests so far. I don’t want to be a broke MODEL

And that’s all for now, I have to rest a bit. It’s 6:47 AM now, I’ll be going to the basketball court pretty soon. Catch up with you guys later!

Keep building until you realize your greatest potential and don’t forget to achieve great dreams!
